TC ACTION HEAD START/EARLY HEAD START | TOMPKINS COMMUNITY ACTION (TCA)

Head Start: a structured year-round child development program focusing on school readiness, with classroom, home or childcare center-based options. Classrooms are located in Dryden, Groton, and Ithaca. Three to five year old children, including those with disabilities/special needs, are eligible. Staff work with families to develop goals and connect with resources. Early Head Start: infants, toddlers, pregnant women and their families in year-round home-based or child care center programs to enhance children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. Helps pregnant women receive comprehensive care, supports parents as their child's first teacher and supports families moving toward self-sufficiency.
