Provides the following services. Employment Readiness: Career counseling, career exploration, career advisement, resume preparation, interviewing assistance, online video interview assistance, and custom made workshops. Job Search Assistance: Access to computer labs, copy service, free mailing, current job listings, labor market information, job fairs, job clubs, and "Meet the Employers" on-site career fairs, where employers are on-site to recruit and interview job seekers. Career Advancement and Training Grants: Connected education, training programs, and support services that enable individuals to secure a job or advance in an in-demand industry or occupation. Training grants available for in-demand occupations such as Nursing, HVAC, Machining, CDL, Mechanics, Accounting, and over 50 additional occupations. Job Training: High school equivalency diploma classes, soft skills classes, and training on computer and internet use, keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Word. Walk in to attend orientation Monday-Thursday, 9am-2pm before receiving services or sign up for orientation on the splash page of the City of Buffalo website at www.buffalony.gov/jobs
