WIC is a supplemental nutrition program for pregnant, post-partum and breastfeeding women and children up to the age of five, which provides food vouchers for milk, cereal, cheese, juice, peanut butter, eggs, and infant formula. Breastfeeding moms may receive tuna and carrots. WIC provides quality nutrition counseling from nutritionists and certified lactation counselors.

Eligibility
Pregnant women and teens, children up to 5 years of age, mother of babies up to 6 months old, breastfeeding mothers of babies up to 12 months old. WIC can be received even if one is not a legal resident (a green card is not needed), not a U.S. citizen, does not have a social security number, works, geta food stamps, public assistance or Medicaid, or if one is a foreign student (F-1 Visa)
