One that goes beyond helping emerging adults cope with stress, anxiety, and depression. One that teaches emerging adults how to create lives filled with positive emotions, engagement, deep, intimate, caring relationships, meaning, and accomplishment. The Positive Psychology Institute for Emerging Adults gives people that much-needed time. Providing a safe, nonjudgmental, and nurturing environment, therapists help emerging adults work through the anxieties and insecurities that restrain them from living their best-life-possible. All therapy services are by appointment only. All services are provided in a professional manner and conform to the ethical standards of the American Psychological Association. Includes four clinics and a fully licensed early childhood program: The Diane Lindner-Goldberg Child Care Institute; Counseling and Mental Health Professions; Psychological Evaluation Research and Counseling; Reading/Writing Learning and Speech-Language-Hearing. Each of these units is affiliated with Hofstra University's School of Education, the School of Health and Human Services or Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The Center supports high-quality educational and practical experiences for Hofstra University students, and provides services to Hofstra University employees and to the community-at-large. Access to multiple services within the Saltzman Center afford the opportunity for a comprehensive approach to clients' needs. Call for more information regarding each clinic.
