It is best to apply for Unemployment Insurance on line. You must create a NY.gov ID in order to sign in and follow the instructions to file a claim. Claims can be filed Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm, Saturday all day and Sunday until 7pm.
