EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM | DUTCHESS OUTREACH

The Emergency Assistance program guides a client through 'the system' and when other resources are not available and the client meets specific guidelines as outlined by Dutchess Outreach, they may be eligible for one time financial assistance once per lifetime including utility payment, prescription drug assistance, etc. For prescription assistance, client must provide original prescription no refills. Only provides advocacy for NYSEG customers. Central Hudson customers must meet all of the eligibility criteria in order to receive financial assistance. Clients encouraged to call to receive information related to if funds are exhausted. Funds are distributed on case by case situation depending on funding and other eligibility criteria. Can assist with rent, mortgage, prescriptions, or utilities only once.
