POSITIVE PARENTING | CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION OF ALBANY COUNTY

Provides researched-based parenting strategies to help parents and caregivers enhance their parenting skills, and develop a deeper understanding of how their personal and parenting knowledge affects children.

Offers the following classes:

Parenting in Times of Stress - Raising Resilient Kids/Teens: Assists parents/caregivers manage the impact of stressful events on youth and the family
Improving Family Communication: Explores ways to encourage conversation with youth and keep the conversation going
Magic Years: Education program for parents/caregivers of children from birth to 4 years old
The Middle Years: Education program for parents/caregivers of children ages 5 to 10 years
The Tween/Teen Years: Education program for parents/caregivers of children ages 11 to 18 years
The Strengthening Families Program: Online program for parents/caregiver and youth ages 11 to 18 years to work together on teen development, communication skills, and managing emotions
Just for Grandparents: Education program grandparent guardians to discuss parenting strategies, gain support, and connect with other
