BMHA Housing Assistance Office

PUBLIC HOUSING: 27 developments throughout city. Eligible applicants are placed on a site-based waiting list at the time of application. When their position on the waiting list is reached, they are offered units in their chosen development. Eligibility requires meeting the low income limits for the number of persons in their family. Placement factors: date of application, priority and preferences, broad range of income. Waiting lists may close if applications exceed supply. SECTION 8: Vouchers provided to qualified applicants for use in obtaining Section 8 qualified apartments throughout the area. Eligibility varies based on individual waiting lists. ##REENTRY##
