FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM (FGP) - BCOFA | BROOME COUNTY OFFICE FOR AGING

Offers seniors 55+ yrs the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs. Volunteers serve 5-40 hrs/wk in schools, day care centers and Head Start programs located throughout Broome County.

Application process

Call 607-778-2089 to request an application. Applicants need to provide four references and complete an income eligibility form. All applicants to the Foster Grandparent Program must complete criminal history background checks, including: FBI fingerprinting, Sex Offender Registry check, and NY State Unified Court System check. There is no cost to the applicant for these checks.
