CONCEPTS OF INDEPENDENT CHOICES

A not-for-profit Consumer Directed Personal Assistant Program (CDPAP). This is an alternative to traditional home care services which allows people with disabilities who are Medicaid eligible more control over their personal care services. Consumers enrolled in the program are allowed to hire, train, supervise, schedule and, if necessary, dismiss the personal assistant worker.
