Description

Conducts plan review and inspection of building construction within the City of Utica. Maintains the housing and property codes and enforces compliance with the Syracuse Zoning Ordinance. The city's building permit process is managed by the Permit Department in conjunction with the Departments of Engineering, Fire Prevention, Zoning, Public Works, Preservation, Transportation, and Water. All applications are reviewed for accuracy and compliance to city and state codes by these departments.
