Comprehensive services to adult and child victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes, including: accompanying victims to the police station, hospital, the YWCA safe dwelling, Department of Social Services, court and other locations as needed informing victims of their rights and legal options; help applying for crime victims compensation 24-hour confidential hotline for victims with support, intervention options and victims' rights information referrals to family court clerk, private attorneys, legal aid services, public defender's office or police department for obtaining orders of protection and custody petitions information and programming about the cycle of violence and forms of domestic abuse and sexual assault basic needs, including food and clothing, and emergency safe housing for women victims of domestic violence and their children. Male victims receive safe alternative housing on-going lay counseling by advocates as victims move through the healing process
